Center resident Debbie Garcia, 62, passed away on Nov. 25, 2021. She was born on Nov. 22, 1959 in Monte Vista, Colo., to Agapito Sierra and Mary (Francis) Montano.
Debbie graduated from Monte Vista High School. She enjoyed fishing, gambling, baking, bingo and above all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Tom Garcia, her sons, Tony Garcia and Pete (Amanda) Garcia, her grandchildren, Uriah Garcia, Devon Garcia, Evonne Garcia and Asher Garcia, her mother Mary (Angel) Gutierrez, her siblings, Jim (Shirley) Sierra and Jerry (Wendy) Sierra, her aunts and uncles, Joe Montano, Esther Casanova, Judy (Julia) Stanek, Lucy Archuleta and David (Karen) Montano as well as her brothers and sisters in law, Gary (Lucille) Garcia, Lloyd (Lillian) Garcia, Fred (Teresa) Garcia, Jenny (Duane) Valdez, Renee (Josue) Olmos, Marie (Ray) Ulibarri and Brenda (Dan) Martinez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father Agapito Sierra, Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Pete Montano, her uncles Pete Montano, Ernie Montano and John Montano, her sister-in-law Yvonne Garcia and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Tom and Loyda Garcia, three grandbabies and many others.
Cremation was selected and a Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, both at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center.
