Free spay, neuter clinic set

CENTER— Center citizens can have their pets spayed and neutered for free at a clinic in Center located at the Center Fire Department, beginning at 7:30 a.m. on both Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8.
Free vaccinations for pets also will be available.  The surgeries are done on site in a mobile veterinary clinic unit.
The town of Center will offer free pet registration with proof of vaccinations if residents bring proof of the vaccinations to town hall. For more information, call 754-3497.

Active duty troops’ names needed

MONTE VISTA— Valley Publishing will be running a special holiday salute in the papers on Dec. 19 to honor and thank local active duty military personnel. Please send names of any Valley residents currently serving our country by Monday, Dec. 17, noon. Names can be emailed to: [email protected] or faxed to 852-3387. Please include their hometowns, along with their military branches.

URGED meets in M.V. on Dec. 11

MONTE VISTA—The Upper Rio Grande Economic Development monthly breakfast meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7 a.m. at Mountain View Restaurant in Monte Vista featuring a program by The Colorado Farm Brewery and Colorado Malting Company, who will talk about their four-generation-operation in the San Luis Valley.
