Third suspect in Center home invasion arrested

...

CENTER — Center Police Chief Gene Meek announced Monday that the third suspect in the  Nov. 21 home invasion has been taken into custody. The other two suspects, Tony Dominguez and Antonio Sisneros, were arrested in Alamosa for a similar incident.
One of the victims recognized two of the Center suspects from an article in the Valley Courier. That same victim identified the third suspect as Gary Sisneros. Gary is the father of Antonio.
“In the Center home invasions, all three suspects forced entry into the victims’ residence,” Meek said. “They were looking for drugs and money. The group began beating the victims with baseball bats when neither drugs nor money were located.“
One victim was hospitalized locally while the other was flown to Colorado Springs Memorial for life threatening injuries. Meek said the male victim Flown out was in pretty bad shape, suffering injuries that amounted to “torture.”
Center has been plagued with burglaries over the past two years and Meek has put several programs in place to help bring the problem under control. One Center citizen reported the problem is so bad Center residents are afraid to leave their homes, especially during the holidays.
Investigation into other burglaries continue, he said.
