Searchers recover body of missing climber

CRESTONE — The Saguache Sheriff’s Office confirmed the body of missing hiker Tyler Cline, 27, of Buena Vista, was recovered from the mountains near Crestone Friday. The sheriff’s office would not release the cause of death, but no foul play is suspected, a spokesperson said.
Cline left Sunday to climb Kit Carson Peak. Loved ones became concerned when he did not show up for work and reported him missing. His car was discovered near the base of Kit Carson on Wednesday.
According to a report on KDVR-TV, Denver, Cline was an experienced climber who made it his goal to explore all of Colorado’s 14-ers.
Search and Rescue teams from Saguache County, Custer County and Chaffee County participated in the search.
