Listening work session Tuesday
SAGUACHE— The Saguache County Commissioners will hold a listening work session on Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Saguache Road and Bridge meeting room, 305 3rd Street, Saguache. Speaker will be Sean Tonner with a renewable water resources water export proposal presentation.

Center health fair coming up
CENTER— The Center Head Start, in conjunction with the Rio Grande Hospital, will host the annual health fair on Friday, April 12 from 6:30-10 a.m. at the Center Head Start building. The RGH labs will be offering blood screenings. Please drink plenty of water. Tests covered include the following: Chemistry Panel, $30; PSA (prostate), $30; Hemoglobin A1C, $30; blood type, $25; bone density screening, $25; CBC, $20 and Vitamin D, $45. Other tests available free of charge will be body composition analysis, blood pressure, pulmonary lung function, blood glucose finger stick and pulse oximetry. RGH to host town hall meeting
CENTER— Rio Grande Hospital and Clinics (RGH) will be having a community Town Hall meeting in Center next month. Their goal is to get the community’s input from residents, businesses and the community members about the services that RGH provides in Center. They want to see what the community thinks works, what needs improvement and input on any additional services that you think should be added.
This meeting is open to everyone and will take place on Tuesday, April 2 at the Center Public Library Community Room (at the school on Broadway) located in Center at 7 p.m. RGH will have their executive staff and board members available at meeting to help answer any questions or concerns. Art from the Heart Sunday
CREEDE— The Creede Arts Council invites all to Art From The Heart – A Collectors’ Exhibit on March 10. Join in on Sunday at Arp’s Restaurant from 4 to 6 p.m. Share art or listen as other community members tell stories about pieces from their collection; you do not need to share to attend. URGED meeting March 12
MONTE VISTA— The Upper Rio Grande Economic Development monthly breakfast meeting will be held Tuesday, March 12 at 7 a.m. at Mountain View Restaurant in Monte Vista. The program will be by Cleave Simpson, general manager of the Rio Grande Water Conservation District, who will review and continue discussions from the recent State of the Basin Symposium, including exportation attempt.
