MVS Principal’s Corner

Happy Thanksgiving! There is no school this week as we just completed 13 weeks of school. That’s 52 action and activity packed days. Students and staff have worked extremely hard and this week is a welcome time to rest, relax and take some time share with family and friends.

I am very thankful for all of our students, faculty and staff at MVS and thankful to all the community of Saguache. The coming months and the next two years will be an exciting time for all of us. Our new school will once again be the heart of the community. All the planning that goes into the new facility will incorporate the best ways to provide a safe productive atmosphere for everyone.

This next generation of children attending Mountain Valley deserves to have a true “community-school” partnership where business owners, private citizens, parents, and the students have input into what makes a school great! It will take the entire community to make sure this new school will last the next 50, 60 even 70 years!

Thank you, parents, families and community members who strive to be a positive force for change and move our education system forward. What are you thankful for today? Take time, not just this Thanksgiving Day, but every day to reflect and be thankful for the great things in your lives. Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
