She was born Sept. 13, 1943 near Colorado Springs. Connie moved to Del Norte as a young girl and lived there most of her life.  She graduated from Western State with a bachelor’s degree and later went to Adams State for a master’s in art education. She taught school in Del Norte, Monte Vista and Center.

Connie had a wide network of friends on Facebook and we thank all of them for their thoughts and prayers. She was a very strong advocate against animal abuse. Anyone who wishes to honor Connie’s memory is encouraged to make a donation to a local animal shelter in her name.
Inurnment will be at the Spring Valley cemetery at Larkspur, Colo. next to her parents Mary and Jewell Moreland. No memorial service is planned. Please have fond memories of Connie as you knew her.
