Center Career Day April 25

CENTER — In an effort to help promote post-secondary and workforce readiness, Center School District is hosting a Youth Job Fair April 25. They are looking for employers who employ youth during the summer or after-school during the school year who are interested in participating.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in the Center High School gym. During this time, employers will give out information about their company and the youth jobs available.
Employers will be set up at a table as students rotate around the room to the various employers. They can explain what types of skills you are looking for in someone they hire. Students will be introducing themselves and giving out business cards and resumes.  Employers could even have students complete job applications.
At 12:15 p.m., employers will be served lunch. After lunch, employers can choose to stay to help with a job interview until 3 p.m. Students will participate in practice job interviews, and the school would like to have employers participate so that students can have a real understanding of what this experience is like.
If employers so choose, they could actually interview the students who completed applications during the job fair so that it is a real interview for a job. They might even find someone really great to hire!
If you are able to participate, please contact Katrina Ruggles at 719-580-9199 or at [email protected].
