MOFFAT — The Dec. 1 Moffat Town Board meeting uncovered detailed work for trustees to complete before 2020 concludes, primarily surrounding annexation and zoning issues. Mayor Patricia Reigel scheduled a meeting with Town Attorney Mallika Magner to examine Moffat ordinances, and the board scheduled more meetings to address Magner’s issues with the town’s underdeveloped planning and zoning documents.
Following four weeks of public notification in the Saguache Crescent, Resolution 2020-25 qualified for a public hearing. This resolution simply made “…certain findings of fact regarding the Terrell W. Bowers Annexation.” Marshall Pierce from North Carolina presented the annexation’s benefits during the public comment period and provided more background during the public hearing later in the evening.
