ALAMOSA - SLV Federal Bank CEO Duane Bussey announced the bank will not be sponsoring the July 4 fireworks show in Alamosa this summer.

“We are very disappointed we will not be able to bring this enjoyable holiday event to our community in 2020, said Bussey. We discussed the matter with the City of Alamosa staff and considered the State’s coronavirus guidelines for public events, as well as the current fire restrictions, and decided there were too many unknowns to be able to deliver a safe and enjoyable show. We’ve appreciated the partnership we’ve had with the City of Alamosa over the last 23 years in sponsoring the show. We’re thankful for the dedicated work of our fireworks shoot team in making it happen. While there is still a chance we could have the shoot later in the year, realistically, we’re focused on 2021 and putting on a great show next year.”
